| Noise-cancelling headphones allow you to enjoy music with raising the volume unnecessarily. |
What are they? These are specially designed headphones that reduce unwanted noise.
Why would I want them? To enjoy music without raising the volume unnecessarily. It can also help you sleep in a noisy place such as an airplane.
How do they work? Noise-cancelling headphones reduce unwanted sounds by active noise control. This involves using a microphone, placed near the ear, and electronic circuitry which create an 'anti-noise' soundwave and results in the cancellation of noise within the enclosed volume of the headphone.
How much does they cost? Expect to pay around $100 to $300 for a set of noise-calling headphones. |
