What is it? A multi-function MP3 player can be so many things to you. It can be your personal music and movie player, a voice recorder, radio, organiser and photo album all wrapped up into one dandy unit that fits into the palm of your hand.
At the basic level you would use one to store and play your favourite tunes- but used to its full potential- your multi-function MP3 player can be a great personal and corporate companion.
How does it work? Most multi-function MP3 players connect to your PC via USB link (either through a cable or integrated into the device) and you upload all your information with the dedicated software.
Many have simple drag-and-drop functionality for obtaining content so it really couldn’t be easier.
Why would I want one? Because they have so many functions, there’s so many reasons why you would want one. You can relax on long trips with a movie or your favourite music with the media functions, you can check you are running on schedule with the organiser function, you can record that killer presentation with the voice recorder function and you’ll never miss your favourite radio program or hourly newsbreaks with an integrated radio.
How much do they cost? The prices vary but popular brands like Creative start at $130, iRiver starts at $145 and Samsung’s top of the range model starts at $299. |
