| Sessions to see Gordon Ramsay at the Good Food & Wine Show in Sydney have sold out. |
Move over Michael Bublé, kitchen firebrand Gordon Ramsay is so hot that his sessions at the Good Food & Wine Show in Sydney later this week have been sold out.
Even the organisers were caught by the demand and are hurriedly developing a bigger theatre to ensure as many people as possible get to see Gordon live on stage. They have even added an extra session on Friday June 20 at 11:45am.
While Ramsay is headlining the show, with his unique approach to training chefs, there will be plenty to see from appliance exhibitors including Sunbeam, Maytag and Barbeques Galore.
Sunbeam helps you hone your barista skills
Good Food and Wine Show small appliance sponsor, Sunbeam is inviting visitors to its first ever Coffee School. This is a hands-on master class hosted by World Barista Champion and Sunbeam ambassador Paul Bassett. The 45 minute classes will be held each morning of the show and similar sessions were also sold out at the Melbourne event last week.
And, if you can’t squeeze into Gordon’s Show, over at the Diners Club Celebrity Theatre sessions local chefs including Tobie Puttock and Matt Moran, will also use Sunbeam kitchen appliances in the preparation and cooking of various dishes.
Maytag looks for our best chef
US kitchen manufacturer Maytag is the major appliance sponsor of the Diners Club Celebrity Theatre and has been running a promotion in conjunction with
The Australian Women's Weekly, to find Australia's good food chef.
Entrants were asked to send in their original three-course dinner menus for the chance to win $20,000 worth of Maytag kitchen appliances. To enhance the dishes, menus also needed to include at least one ingredient from the Gourmet Garden range of premium herbs and spices.
The Australian Women's Weekly food director, Lyndey Milan, and Fresh TV host, Pete Evans, will host two semi-finalists to the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show, where they will cook one dish from their menu.
The successful semi-finalist then meets up with their competitors from each Good Food & Wine Show in Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland at the Brisbane Good Food & Wine Show on November 8 for the grand final, where the winner will be announced.
